Apple Green Wash Super Wide Leg Reworked Vintage Denim Patchwork Jeans

Using one of my own original pant designs, I transformed pieces of 100% cotton vintage denim into these one-of-a-kind, apple-green-wash, super wide-leg patchwork jeans! Through a multi-step process of dye removal and overdyeing, I achieved this vibrant apple green hue while preserving the unique variations and character of the reclaimed denim!

Born out of my own quest for the perfect pair of jeans, I found myself frustrated by the mismatch between style and quality. If a pair fit my waist, they were inevitably tight and tapered at the ankle. So much modern denim also contains stretchy materials, which certainly have their place in a wardrobe, but in my opinion, not in a proper pair of jeans! ☺️ So, I decided to design a pair! These were created entirely by me, from beginning to end. I started by sourcing a substantial collection of 100% cotton vintage denim, then individually cut and pieced everything together.

Each seam features three layers of stitching: a straight stitch, followed by an overlock stitch, then another straight stitch for extra heavy-duty construction and durability. Additional time, care, and love go into every piece I create, with the intention that each garment can be worn, enjoyed, and appreciated for years to come.

Once construction was complete, I spent several hours at the sink utilizing a controlled dye-removal process to achieve a more cohesive overall wash while preserving the beautiful variations and character of the original denim. I then carefully overdyed the finished garment in a vibrant apple green, adding another layer of color, depth, and individuality to the patchwork.

The result is a one-of-a-kind wash and silhouette, with all the character and durability of vintage denim. 🍏

Designed with an adjustable drawstring waist to accommodate a wide range of sizes. The raw hem can be trimmed to the owner’s preferred length, allowing you to customize the length. Model is 5’10” tall for reference.
